Pairings Announced For 2020 PCL Boys' Basketball Championship

PHILADELPHIA, PA -
Vying for its second title in program history, Archbishop Wood is the top seed for the 2020 Philadelphia Catholic League Boys' Basketball Championship, which commences on Feb. 12.  

The Vikings earned the regular season crown as it posted a 13-1 record in league action.  Archbishop Wood's first-ever PCL title came in 2017 when it defeated Neumann-Goretti, 65-58.  Bishop McDevitt is the second seed, followed by Neumann-Goretti, Bonner & Prendie and two-time defending champion Roman. 

First round action commences on Wednesday, Feb. 12, as seventh-seeded Archbishop Ryan hosts No. 10 West Catholic, while ninth-seeded St. Joseph's Prep visits No. 8 Archbishop Carroll.  

The Quarterfinals will be held on Feb. 14, while the Semifinal round will take place at The Palestra on Feb. 19.  The finals of the 2020 PCL Boys' Basketball Championship will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 at The Palestra.

No. 4 Bonner & Prendie vs No. 5 Roman
No. 2 Bishop McDevitt vs. highest remaining seed
No. 3 Neumann-Goretti vs. No. 6 Cardinal O'Hara
