Archdiocese & Philadelphia Catholic League Hold Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Meeting

RADNOR, PA - The high schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Catholic League held their second Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meeting of the 2016-17 school year on Thursday, Mar. 2, on the campus of Archbishop John Carroll High School.
Group discussion centered around such topics as enhancing the overall championship experience of the participating student-athletes, improved athletic equipment, how to make athletic fees more cost feasible, and serving as the voice of student-athletes at their respective high schools.
Guest speakers included Ms. Alexiss Robinson, Coordinator of Diversity & Achiement in Athletics at Immaculata University; Mr. Vincent Nicastro, Deputy Commissioner of the Big East Conference; and Fr. John Nordeman, Director of Campus Ministry at Lansdale Catholic High School. The meeting opened with welcoming remarks by Mr. Frank Fox, President, Archbishop John Carroll High School.
The group previously met on Nov. 2.
Thanks to all of the students who dedicated their time to be a part of this committee in working toward enhancing the experience of the thousands of high school student-athletes of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the PCL.
