La Salle College Captures 2017 PCL Boys' Volleyball Championship

La Salle College defended its PCL title with a 3-1 win over No. 3 St. Joseph's Prep in the finals of the 2017 Boys' Volleyball Championship on Monday evening at the Mirenda Center on the campus of Neumann University.
Senior Anders Skjeveland led the team in kills on the evening as the top-seeded Explorers securred their third league title in four years. La Salle earned a hard-fought 25-22 victory in the opening set and pushed its advantage to 2-0 following a 25-15 win in the second set. St. Joseph's Prep battled back to take the third set (25-19) before the Explorers closed out the match with a 25-14 victory in the fourth set.
La Salle College will face George Washington on May 25 at Archbishop Ryan High School in the finals of the District XII 3A Championship.
