Roman Freshmen Jalen Duren & Justice Williams Participate In USA U16 National Team Training Camp

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Freshmen Jalen Duren and Justice Williams of Roman are among 30 of the nation’s top 16-and-under boys' basketball student-athletes participating in the 2019 USA Basketball Men’s U16 National Team Training Camp (May 22-29), held on the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
The training camp will be used to select the 12 athletes who will represent USA Basketball in the sixth edition of the FIBA Americas U16 Championship for Men, which will take place June 3-9 in Belém, Brazil, in hopes of securing a gold medal and berth to the 2020 FIBA U17 World Cup. The 12-member team will be announced prior to departing for Brazil on May 30.
Duren and Williams both earned Freshman All-America honors from MaxPreps as they helped lead Roman to its second consecutive PCL title. Duren also garnered first-team All-Catholic and second-team All-State distinction.
