PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Philadelphia Catholic League Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball Championship games will return to the historic Palestra in 2022.
The finals of the 2022 Girls’ & Boys’ PCL Championships will be held on Monday, February 28, while the Boys’ Semifinal doubleheader will also be played at The Palestra on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
In 2020 before a sellout crowd at The Palestra, Neumann-Goretti captured the boys’ title with a 66-58 win over Roman, while West Catholic secured its first PCL girls’ crown since 1998 with a thrilling 64-60 overtime victory versus Archbishop Wood. Last year, Archbishop Wood earned both the girls’ and boys’ titles in contests played at league sites.
Additional ticket information and game times will be announced at a later date, including when tickets will be made available for purchase online. Any remaining tickets may be purchased on game day at The Palestra box office.
The Philadelphia Catholic League will adhere to all spectator protocols as required by the University of Pennsylvania Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (DRIA) guidance for home competitions.
