Bonner & Prendie Grad Nate Furman Selected In 4th Round Of 2022 MLB Draft

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Charlotte sophomore infielder Nate Furman was selected in the fourth round (121^st overall) of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft by the Cleveland Guardians. Furman is a 2020 graduate of Bonner & Prendie and garnered first-team All-Catholic honors in both 2018 and 2019.

Furman led the 49ers in batting average (.371), runs (67), hits (86), walks (49) and steals (21) while starting all 58 games in 2022. He also collected 14 doubles and earned second-team All-Conference USA distinction. The 2022 MLB Draft was held July 17-19.
