PHILADELPHIA, PA - After a 12-year career that included 78 sacks and three All-Pro seasons, defensive lineman Joe Klecko was recently selected as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2023. The Hall’s 49-person Selection Committee met virtually in mid-January to conduct the annual vote, and enshrinement is scheduled for Aug. 5 in Canton, OH.
Klecko is a 1971 graduate of St. James High School.
The only player to be voted to the Pro Bowl at three different positions (DT, DE, NT), Klecko compiled a league-high 20.5 sacks in 1981. He played 11 seasons with the New York Jets and one year with the Indianapolis Colts before retiring following the 1988 campaign.
