Brian Goettner Named Archbishop Wood Varsity Head Football Coach

WARMINSTER, PA - Archbishop Wood High School President Gary Zimmaro has announced the hire of Brian Goettner as the Archbishop Wood Football Head Coach.
Coach Goettner has been an intergral part of the Wood Football Program over the past few years, most recently serving as the Interim Head Coach since September. Coach Goettner has extensive high school coaching experience, as well as coaching experience spanning the college level to the CYO level. An educator for the past 15 years, Coach Goettner prides himself on his ability to bring a winning, exciting and disciplined atmosphere to the Wood Football program.
"After a thorough process with a lot of qualified applicants, Coach Goettner's values and vision for our Wood Football program set him apart as we navigated through the hiring process," Athletic Director Susan O'Neill said.
Coach Goettner has a passion for the program and a keen understanding of its current lanscape, as well as the high standard of excellence that is associated with the Wood Football Program. We look forward to Coach Goettner's leadership of our young men, both on and off the field, and we invite all members of the Archbishop Wood Community to join us in supporting our Wood Vikings and our new head coach.

Coach Goettner is a graduate of West Chester University, and he earned a Masters in Education from Eastern University. He resides in Hatboro with his wife and two children.
