RESULTS
SPRINGFIELD, PA - After finishing runner-up in both 2021 and 2023, Bonner & Prendie captured the 2024 PCL Girls’ Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday afternoon under blue skies on the campus of Cardinal O'Hara High School.
Senior Misa Love won the 300m hurdles (47.97), junior Cordelia Adenuga seized the 400m title (58.24) and the Pandas earned gold in the 4x400m (4:06.23) and silver in the 4x100m (49.61) as they compiled 102 points on the afternoon for the program's first PCL Outdoor title since 1977. Cardinal O'Hara (75) finished runner-up as senior Ava Hneleski notched wins in both the discus (89-2) and shot put (32-7) events and placed second in the javelin (101-6).
On the boys’ side, La Salle College took home its ninth consecutive PCL title as freshman Bobby Franklin placed first in the mile (4:21.26), junior Gavin Muller won the discus (140-0) and senior Will Palopoli claimed the 3,200m crown (9:38.57).
A pair of PCL records were established on Saturday as senior Danny Schikel of Cardinal O'Hara registered a meet-record time of 14.31 in the 110m hurles, while the Lions' 4x100m relay claimed gold in a time of 42.09, tops in league history.
