PHILADELPHIA, PA - Archbishop Ryan High School is proud to announce the appointment of Jimmy Dillon as the new Head Girls’ Basketball Coach.

A 1996 graduate of Holy Ghost Prep and a member of their Hall of Fame, Coach Dillon brings a wealth of experience both on and off the court. He played professionally in Europe after completing a four-year collegiate basketball career at the University of Notre Dame.  A lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia, Jimmy has demonstrated a deep commitment to his community through his work as a former Pennsylvania State Senator and as the founder and president of Hoops 24-7 Basketball Academy, where he has mentored and developed young athletes for nearly two decades.

“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to be the next varsity girls’ basketball coach at Archbishop Ryan,” said Coach Dillon. “I look forward to building a culture that our players, families, school, and community can be proud of. It’s a privilege to work with the incredible young women at Archbishop Ryan - past, present, and future. Thank you to the administration and athletic department for this tremendous opportunity. Let’s go AR!”

Coach Dillon also joins the Archbishop Ryan family as a proud parent—he looks forward to joining his daughters Reese ’27 and Aubrey ’29 at the school.
