PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Little Flower Community, along with the Athletic Department, is extremely excited to welcome Mr. Lou Hagarty, Jr. as the next Varsity Girls' Head Soccer Coach.
Lou grew up in Rockledge and played club soccer for Fox Chase SC. His teams at Fox Chase SC won many city titles and consistently were highly ranked in SE Pennsylvania. Lou continued this soccer career playing @ McDevitt and was part of the only team in McDevitt history to play a PCL playoff appearance in 1996.
Lou's coaching career began shortly after graduating from college, when he returned to Fox Chase SC to work with very young kids, first starting out playing soccer. For the last 6 years, Lou has coached club soccer with the same girls' team at local Danubia SC. Over the last 6 years, his Danubia Wolves have improved each year significantly, which has resulted in them constantly being promoted in their level of competition. The Wolves finished up this current fall season ranked 45th in Southeastern PA.
Fun Fact: Lou was a teammate and classmate at McDevitt with former Union Coach Jim Curtin.
Why Lou was interested in the position: "I never intended to move into coaching at the high school level, but this is an opportunity that I can't pass up. I went to Catholic school all the way through high school so getting to work at a historic Catholic High School is very exciting. My teams will make everyone associated with Little Flower HS very proud. We will play with maximum effort and pride on the field and will display Catholic values off the field. It will take some time but I plan on making Little Flower a contender again in the PCL in years to come. I can't wait to get started."
