MECHANICSBURG, PA - The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) continues to dedicate a week during every sports season to recognize and show appreciation to the over 15,000 PIAA registered officials. This is the sixth consecutive year of this initiative.
Member schools are asked to help show their support for Fall Sports Officials on October 4th through the 10th, 2026.
“Officials are an essential part of every athletic contest, and their commitment extends far beyond the time they spend on the field or court,” said Frank Majikes, PIAA Board of Directors President and PIAA District II Chairman. “Their dedication, professionalism and service help create positive experiences for student-athletes across Pennsylvania. We are grateful for the countless hours they give to our schools and communities, and this recognition is a meaningful way to thank them for all they do.” President Majikes has been a registered PIAA official for over 50 years, so these weeks are especially meaningful to him.
