PHILADELPHIA, PA - The 2026 Philadelphia Catholic League Girls' & Boys' Basketball Championship doubleheader on Feb. 22 at The Palestra had a higher attendance than the vast majority of Division I Men's Basketball Conference Championship games this season.

Archbishop Carroll secured its first PCL Girls' Basketball Championship since 2019 and Father Judge repeated as boys' champions before a sellout crowd of 8,722, which was higher than all but seven Division I Men's Basketball Conference Championship games in 2026.  The finals of the Big East Conference had the largest crowd (19,812) as St. John's defeated Connecticut at Madison Square Garden.

Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) served as the presenting partner for the 2026 PCL Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball Championships. The partnership was highlighted by a comprehensive sponsorship of the PCL Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball Semifinals and the Championship games at The Palestra.
