AOP Student-Athletes Earn Gold & Silver Medals At 2026 PIAA Girls' Wrestling Championships

HERSHEY, PA – Senior Julia Horger of Conwell-Egan captured gold in the 106-lb. division while Bishop Shanahan sophomore Shannon Logue earned a silver medal in the 130-lb. class at the 2026 PIAA Girls’ Wrestling Championships (Mar. 5-7) at the Giant Center.
Horger earned her third consecutive state title as she notched four wins – including a 17-1 (2:33) Technical Fall victory over Finley Fourspring of Corry High School in the finals on Mar. 7 – and concludes her senior campaign with a 34-1 overall record.
Logue advanced to the finals following her semifinal victory against Anaiah Kolesar of Northeast Bradford with a Technical Fall at 4:55. Logue dropped a 17-6 major decision to junior Haley Smarsh of Moon High School in the championship match and ends her sophomore season with a 33-7 overall mark.
In addition, Archbishop Ryan junior Molly Brangan (33-9) also qualified for the PIAA Championships in the 118-lb. division.
