GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA - Juniors Kallee Clark and Morgan Wood combined for seven goals in the opening quarter as Archbishop Carroll notched its 25th consecutive PCL Girls’ Lacrosse Championship on a steamy Tuesday afternoon with a 20-4 win over third-seeded Cardinal O’Hara on the campus of Gwynedd Mercy University.  

Trailing 1-0 on a goal by COHS junior midfielder Fran Fazio just 82 seconds into the game, the Patriots responded with eight consecutive goals to close out the quarter including four by Clark and three goals by Wood.  Clark finished with six goals on the afternoon, Wood tallied four and seniors Maggie O’Neill and Gretta Potten added three goals apiece for Archbishop Carroll, which will face the fifth seed from District I in the opening round of the PIAA 3A Championship on June 2. 

After scoring her 200th career goal in the Lions’ 9-8 semifinal win over No. 2 Lansdale Catholic on May 14, Fazio recorded a pair of goals while classmate Penny Miller scored the 100th of her career late in the third quarter. Cardinal O’Hara will face the winner of Lansdale Catholic-Olney on May 27 at Cardinal O’Hara in the District XII 2A Championship.
