Student-Athlete Advisory Council

SAAC - Nov19
2019-20 SAAC Representatives

Beginning with the 2016-17 academic year, the high schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Catholic League formed a Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) to better serve the needs of the students who participate in athletics at each of the AOP high schools – along with PCL members Nazareth Academy, Devon Prep, La Salle College and St. Joseph’s Prep.

Goals
• The AOP/PCL SAAC representatives will assist in enhancing student-athlete welfare, fostering sportsmanship, promoting a positive student-athlete image and developing leadership skills in a culturally diverse environment

• The student-athlete group will serve in an advisory capacity to the AOP/PCL athletic directors regarding policies, procedures and activities that affect the athletic teams of the Archdiocese.

• To enhance the student-athlete experience academically and athletically by providing an avenue through which the voice of student-athletes may be heard at·the Archdiocesan level.

• Serve as liaisons between the student-athletes at their schools and the AOP athletics office.
